MeetPulse

FAQ

Everything you will wonder.

Are my meetings sent to any server?

Not by default. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are saved on your computer. Data leaves only if you pick a cloud engine: Gemini or MAI send audio for transcription, and a cloud model for summaries or chat receives the text it needs. The app flags this on every selector.

Does it work offline?

Yes, with Parakeet or Whisper for transcription and built-in AI (Qwen 3.5 2B or Gemma 4 E4B) for summaries and questions. You only need a connection to download models the first time or to use cloud models.

Does it work with Zoom, Meet and Teams?

Yes. MeetPulse captures your computer audio and your microphone, so it does not depend on the platform and does not add a bot to the call. Tell participants you are recording; the app has an optional reminder.

Which languages does it understand?

Whisper recognizes about 100 languages and Parakeet detects the language by itself. You can pick the summary language per meeting. The interface is in English and Spanish.

Do I need an API key?

Not to run everything locally. For cloud models you need your own Vercel AI Gateway key; a single one covers transcription, summaries and chat. The key is stored on your computer.

What hardware do I need?

A recent computer with Windows 10/11, macOS 13+ or Linux. Built-in AI needs more memory as models grow (Gemma 4 E4B, about 6 GB free). GPU acceleration is available through CUDA, Vulkan, Metal or CoreML.

What does it really cost?

You choose: any amount, including $0. You pass through the contribution screen before downloading, but you can continue without paying.

Can I import recordings I already have?

Yes. Importing audio and retranscribing with another language or engine is available as a beta feature you can turn on in Settings.

How is this different from a meeting bot?

A bot joins the call and sends audio to its servers. MeetPulse runs on your computer: nobody new joins, and you decide what leaves.
